Boutique Quilt

A quilt top coming together....

Basting...

This quilt is being made from a layer cake that I was terribly disappointed in when I got it in the mail.  It is the Boutique collection from Moda, and I ordered it online with a few others.  At first, I had just put all the squares together, but after cutting it up, and getting it put back together, it's starting to grow on me.

I'm thinking of doing an allover meander for the quilting.

And then, I'm going to try to work up the nerve to put in on Etsy.  I have a shop set up, but there's nothing in it, because I'm chicken.  After I get my quilting machine out of jail, I have this one and a couple of others to quilt, and then I will hopefully feel confident enough to sell some of them!

  1. I'm not sure what meandering is, but I sure do think that quilt is gorgeous! The colors make me' think of spring. It's all happy and rejuvenated and it really makes me' appreciate the art of quilting. Can't wait to see what else you create!
And, btw, you are SO talented. Open your store!

  2. I just found your sweet blog from Karen at Sew Many Ways. Your quilts are lovely and I see many familiar fabrics, as in they are in my stash too! Hope you had a wonderful Mothers Day! Oh, I am pretty sure that your 4 year old will be sharing that space with you sooner than you think...
